A Treatment at Buck + Doe Beauty and Wellness Studio

A Treatment at Buck + Doe Beauty and Wellness Studio

Recently I had the privilige of getting treated to a Full Body Glow from Buck + Doe Beauty and Wellness Studio. If you aren't familiar with Buck + Doe it is located here in Kenora, Ontario down on our Harbourfront. Recently Buck + Doe rebranded to focus solely on beauty and wellness.I personally believe that this is something so special. Often times small towns have hair salons with esthetics. To be able to go for spa services somewhere that has a focus solely on esthetics and treatments is amazing.

As a business owner finding time to go for spa treatments can be tricky. Natalie from Buck + Doe is very flexible in her times that are available and is often able to take evening appointments. To have something in my hometown that I can go to and unwind and be pampered but be able to go back to work after is something I appreciate greatly.
Walking into Buck + Doe's friendly and cute space is a breath of fresh air. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by Natalie's smile and warm personality. There is a high level of professionalism, knowledge and training and it shows. I asked Natalie a few questions to better get to know her as well as the services. Here's what she had to say.

What is your position at Buck + Doe and what training do you have?
Skin care Professional with Face Addiction and Corpa Flora, L’Moor Body treatments, Oxygeneo Technician and Holistic Facial Specialist certified
My training is in Skincare, Oxygeneo, Body Treatmnets and Holistic Facials.
Explain the treatment we did and who it can benefit?
It’s beneficial to any client. It increases circulation, hydrates, overall relaxation
sloughes off dead skin. It encourages healthy cell turn over and production. It increases collagen production and cell repair. We start with dry brushing. Then exfoliate with Salt Glow. After that we apply The Moor seaweed gel body mask. It is blended with moisturizing Canadian willow extract and aloe vera, for softer and smoother skin. After that you are wrapped with a plastic wrap and covered with a foil blanket to keep in the moisture and penetrate into skin. The mask is then removed with hot towels and the treatment is finished with a hot oil massage that contains natural emollients and pure essential oil.

Why is supporting local important to you?
Supporting local is important to me because I personally get to know my clients as we live in a small town. I try to keep up to date on new beauty routines so I can offer them to my clients so they don’t have to go to the city to get them.
What #1 treatment should everyone get this summer?
The #1 treatment right now is our Signature Buck & Doe Facial. It includes paraffin treatment on hands and feet as well as 2 Holistic modalities that I choose during the facial treatment. They are for relaxation, lymphatic draining and facial lifting to name a few. They are Kansa Wand, Jade and/or Rose quartz Rollers, Facial cupping and Gua Sha. For an add on treatment we have “My Skin Buddy” which is a hand held device that has LED light therapy for deep cleansing, skin tightening, acne, calming redness and hyper pigmentation. This add on can be added to any facial treatment. We also have them for retail and with a purchase of one a Facial is included.
