Spring Trend Roundup

Spring Trend Roundup

Each season we look to the Fashion Gods to tell us what the trends for the season will be. There is a good chance we will not be strutting the streets in the extreme looks that grace the runway, however we look to the shows for a little inspiration.
Here is my list of the top trends I am looking forward to and how to incorporate it into your everyday style.

Head To Toe Neutrals
In my opinion neutrals are something that are always on trend and nothing new. You can never go wrong with keeping it classy. This season the approach is a monochrome look which we may not all be Kendall Jenner but we can take a tip or two from her look.

Stuck on where to start? The best thing about this trend is there is a great chance that everything you need already exists in your closet. Pull colours from your wardrobe that are in the same colour family. Remember neutral is not a hot pink. Think creams, beiges, nothing too bold. It's all about mixing textures and variations of a colour to make it look less uniform. See our inspo below.

Polkadots
Polkadots are not just for your little cousins Barbie. The runways of Celine and Carolina Herrera will show you just that. Every now and then we see polkadots come back into fashion. We can't deny a good pattern now and again.

There is a good chance that some may just have a polkadot piece in that closet just looking to be dusted off. If you are anything like me, you got rid of it a long time ago, thank you, next! With this trend I would say do not go and blow the budget if you aren't going to rock this look all Spring/Summer. Pick one piece that you know you will wear and get your moneys worth. Think a cute jumpsuit or maxi. See our inspo underneath.

Neons
Looking to make a bold statement this Spring? The neon trend has made a return and we aren't talking Screech Powers day to day Saved By The Bell attire. Hot off the runways of Prabal Gurung and Jeremy Scott we will show you what inspires us and how to achieve it.

We know that in the back of our closet in that tickle trunk there is a neon item dying to make its way back out at a Halloween party. We aren't talking about digging that item out just yet. If you're like me and shy away from too much colour, I suggest taking baby steps. Maybe introducing a bright shoe with a subtle outfit or even a a bright bold lippy. I am definitely not wanting anyone to introduce a top to bottom outfit of monochrome neon. But if that's your thing, you do you, Boo.
Lavender
Is anyone else growing tired of millennial pink? Lavender is set to be a big trend this Spring and this has us jumping for joy. This soft hue screams Spring and we cannot wait to see it take over.

In all honesty lavender can be super intimidating and you don't want to show up to an event looking like Barney's long lost cousin. To take this trend from runway to the real way here are a couple tips. Lavender actually works well with a lot of neutrals. Try to opt for one piece as your lavender option and let that be the main focus. An easy alternative is always accessories.

Now if Spring would hurry up we could get started on trying these trends. What trends are you most looking forward to this season?

Ashley
